Your mission during this flight

As a Technical Project Manager / Lead (m/w/d), you have the overall responsibility for the successful execution of the assigned research and development project(s). You will execute technical projects in close collaboration with our development teams, coordinate resources, oversee risk management, manage stakeholder relationships, develop management tools/metrics, and report progress internally and externally to stakeholder.

Your tasks

  • Manage the assigned project(s) according to the project process while ensuring the achievement of the project targets (technical, cost, quality, time)
  • Prepare reports across several projects, manage off-track items, and resolve conflicts
  • Lead, track, and act on risk management process
  • Lead and prepare meetings with stakeholders to review progress, plan budgets, and manage all project related activities internally and externally
  • Contribute to and develop teams, project management best practices, and execution standards
  • Communicate proactively with project partners about project problems, project results, status reports and project plans
  • Be the face to partners and be responsible for effective communication during the project execution

Our check-in requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years Project Management experience in research and development of Electric Propulsion Systems or equivalent, ideally in aerospace industry
  • Proven experience in leading complex projects, ideally in the aerospace industry
  • Self-driven, proactive, and accountable project management skills with proven track record. This includes problem-solving skills, the ability to adapt to issues as they arise, and provide solutions
  • High level of goal orientation and self-organization
  • Excellent intercultural, communication and leadership skills
  • Enthusiasm, team spirit and readiness to cooperate
  • Fluent English language skills are essential, fluent German language would be beneficial
