Your mission during this flight

As a Development Engineer for Test and Validation (m/f/d) you are responsible for the planning, preparation, execution and evaluation of tests and test procedures. You will develop appropriate test procedures and programs in coordination with the fuel cell expert. You will be responsible for implementing the test procedures in the test automation system. You have knowledge in the selection and use of suitable measurement technology. You have a strong hands-on mentality and enjoy conceptualizing, designing and building a test bench yourself.

Your tasks

  • Planning measurement campaigns together with other departments
  • Preparation of test specimens, test bench and measurement programs
  • Carrying out the measurements
  • Documenting, evaluating and interpreting the measurement results
  • Coordination and coordination of internal and external partners
  • Contributing suggestions for improvement and potential for further development
  • Conceptual design of test benches and test setups
  • Selection of measurement methods / measurement principles / components
  • Construction of test benches

Our check-in requirements

  • Completed Master's degree in engineering/chemistry/process engineering/mechanical engineering etc.
  • Very good knowledge in dealing with test bench automation systems
  • Very good knowledge in handling and application of DoE methodologies & tools
  • Experience with test bench control systems (NI PXI, LabView)
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills
  • Independent and goal-oriented way of working, team and communication skills as well as analytical approach
  • You are dynamic, positive, authentic and identify with our vision of realizing emission-free flying
  • You like being part of a motivated and ambitious team, enjoy achieving goals together & sharing best practices


This is a bonus: 

  • Knowledge and experience in dealing with rapid prototyping systems (e.g. dSpace, Speedgoat).
  • Experience with fuel cell systems
  • Knowledge and experience in working with MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape
  • Practical experience in setting up and commissioning E/E systems
  • Programming skills in Python and C++
  • Experience in common CAD, CFD and FEM tools such as Ansys
